I’m standing humbly before you now, to acknowledge that everything I ever thought about “COUNTRY” has been redefined by Lauren and Ryan’s jaw dropping Country Couture Blackberry Farm Wedding in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee.
Ryan and Lauren, hailing from Miami and the heroes of our story, hosted a 3 day long, smokey mountain magic, country couture wedding weekend for all their friends and family to celebrate together! It was huge. And lucky me! I found myself driving to the Tennessee mountains to capture it all with Sarah Ingram, another fantastic film photographer I love to work with in Atlanta.
The time I spent with the couple quickly showed how completely fearless they are to be unique! A true hippie at heart, Lauren and her bridesmaids dressed in the colors of the whole rainbow, and gave themselves extra time while getting ready to host a meditation circle outside on their luxe cabin patio. Meanwhile, Ryan and the guys were relaxing at the gorgeous carriage house in their white and cream linen suits, smoking cigars. Sound like a dream? Keep reading! Their story is so super sweet too!
Both from Miami, you would’ve never guessed that they met in Barcelona, Spain while studying abroad for college. Like, what?! How romantic!!! Ryan was immediately hooked, while Lauren remained independent at first, primarily focused on her fantastic travel experience. But after about a month, they were doing everything together. Lauren told me first, sometime in that first month alone, she just knew. Ryan is perfect for her. They had both been completely romanced on the streets of Barcelona! Now, 6 years later, they were finally getting married. They choose to have a Blackberry Farm wedding because on the pond’s dock just a year before, Ryan proposed to Lauren while on their family vacation!
While waiting for Lauren at the dock where he proposed, Ryan and I took a few minutes to talk about their story privately. Seriously, His love for her is so evident in every story he tells. Its obvious now why they wanted someone authentic and artistic to document their weekend, which was a magical mountain vibe, & uniquely traditional and chill (though totally extra at the same time).
I’ve never before been a part of a wedding so huge in scale, which the Blackberry Farm really caters to with its thousands of sprawling acres. Actually, Blackberry Farm in Tennessee completely blew my mind as a destination wedding venue! Let’s take a moment to talk about it actually.
(In no particular order)
