When you’re having a lowcountry destination wedding, your venue doesn’t have to feature great gardens, or a fabulous getting ready space! All you really need is a gorgeous and romantic space for your wedding ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour. And if you’re not sure where to start, the Charles Morris Center wedding venue in Savannah, GA is the first place that always comes to my mind.
The Charles Morris Center wedding venue offers both indoor and outdoor options. That means you can have choices for your ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour! Also close to the city and offering parking, this venue really does have it all.
As a Savannah wedding photographer, I’ve got tons of suggestions for you to have a stress free and fun wedding day! From airbnbs to get ready at, to locations where you can take photos (separate from your venue, if you want). Even other awesome wedding planners and vendors to work with!
So, a little bit about this Charles Morris Center wedding. The couple, Rayven and Jordan, are from Miami and absolutely love Savannah! So, when they chose to have a destination wedding, they knew they wanted a fantastic venue to showcase their romantic and edgy ambiance. The Charles Morris Center was an obvious first choice! And because they chose to get married in winter, having the options for an indoor, evening wedding ceremony and reception was a must.
Honestly, they (and I) were a little chilly during their couple’s portraits and bridal party photos! BUT you’d never know it.
Thats because I’ve been photographing weddings for 10+ years! I know how to accommodate taking my couple’s photos quickly, and even have ideas for posing so my couples can stay warm its really cold! **(Not to be sales-y, but if you’re already thinking “YES, I’m ready to choose an experienced and fun photographer for my wedding”, then please contact me! I’d love to meet you and be your wedding photographer?.)
It was also really fantastic that Rayven had a custom leather jacket for her ensemble to help stay warm. Don’t worry, you’ll see it below in the photos!
And let me brag on this sweet couple for a moment. Rayven and Jordan were so much fun to spend the day with! They were both super laid back, and really enjoyed laughing with their friends and family. From start to finish, every moment of their day was meaningful, authentic, and relaxed!
