A Chateau Elan Wedding with Middle Eastern Traditions

A Chateau Elan wedding in North Georgia feels secluded from the bustling city of Atlanta, though it’s only an hour away. As one of Atlanta’s only wineries, it is one of the most popular wedding venues in the Greater Atlanta area. It has several gorgeous ceremony locations (indoor and outdoor), with equally gorgeous and diverse reception spaces too.

The main Atrium of the Inn has high ceilings and is fully windowed (HELLO, gorgeous and flattering light). It’s also huge, with plenty of seating for up to 250 guests. If you’re set on having your ceremony outside in the Rose Vineyard, this is a great alternative if you catch rain. That’s exactly what happened on Zaib and Anooshah’s wedding day! Thankfully, they planned ahead with the venue and had a great photographer (Me!).

I will mention that the indoor Bride and Groom suites, and most of the reception ballrooms can be very dark. Of course this isn’t a problem if you book a photographer who knows how to properly use flash equipment at a moment’s notice. A suggestion to help with the bride’s suite is to ask your hair and makeup team to bring some ring beauty lights. It can organically make a huge difference in your getting ready photos!

Atlanta, Georgia has tons of wedding venues to choose from, but the Chateau Elan is the only Winery wedding resort within an hour of the city.  It boasts four outdoor ceremony and reception spaces and eight indoor spaces, and an on-site inn for you and your guests to stay for the weekend. You could host your rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception— yet never be in the same space twice!

Chateau Elan wedding is a customizable and unique weekend wedding getaway. It cannot be missed if you are wanting a European or California wedding vibe! What’s more, the venue managers are always welcoming and quite familiar with all kinds of wedding day timelines and ceremonies!

They accommodated all Zaib and Anooshah’s wedding guests for the week, and were knowledgeable of the unique traditions for this gorgeous Muslim wedding.

I’ve photographed several weddings here and always have a pleasant experience. If you have any questions about having a Chateau Elan wedding, email me anytime. I am more than happy to help!

After the Nikah the bride and groom lingered to take some sweet portraits together in the Atrium of the Chateau Elan in North Georgia For those of you who are unfamiliar, the first half of these photos are of the Nikaah! This is the ceremony when the physical wedding contract is signed. During Anooshah and Zaib’s Nikaah, their officiant (an Imam) delivered a valuable message and recited parts of the Quran. I love how they mingled in aspects of a traditional English wedding by the ladies carrying floral bouquets. Zaib also gave Anooshah the Mahr in the form of a ring.
