After all, you want to find that gorgeous venue that you’ve always dreamed about – and you want to make sure it’s within your budget. Right? Well, I wanted to create a curated list that simply shares some of my personal favorites. More specifically, I wanted to share with you what I think are the top 12 outdoor wedding venues in Georgia.
This list is alphabetical to be completely fair to these beautiful properties. I’ll break each one down briefly and provide links to their websites so you can check out each one for yourself, too. As a Georgia wedding photographer, I’m so excited to share this round up with you!
With no further adieu…
Tucked away in rural Monroe, 9 Oaks Farm is a rustic paradise with beautifully landscaped gardens and expansive pastures. This is especially a perfect venue if you’re looking for Georgia’s best outdoor wedding venue near Athens, GA. Here, you’ll find multiple outdoor ceremony locations as part of an authentic and historic dairy farm. And for your convenience, it can host up to 250 guests and even provide lodging for some of your guests. Pretty awesome! Oh, and did you know that they even have an in-house florist to help make all your floral dreams come true, too? Score.
A super unique aspect to getting married at the beautiful Atlanta Botanical Gardens is the fact that they have an expansive array of locations to choose from. But my goal here is to help you get clarity on the best, after all. So, if you’re searching for an outdoor venue near Atlanta, make sure to specifically visit their Rose Garden, Trustees Garden, and the Alston Overlook. And for your reception, Longleaf is where you can have one of the most memorable dinners of your life.
Stunning. This 70-acre vintage farm is located in north Georgia, only a 20-minute drive from Chattanooga. And if you’re looking for that perfect blend of peace, tranquility, southern charm, easy logistics, and a gorgeous, sprawling backdrop for your high-end portraits… look no further than The Barn at High Point Farms. Beautiful outdoor scenery, beautifully designed indoor reception site, and stellar reviews across the board. Spanish moss, gorgeous scenery, and local to the iconic town of Savannah, Georgia. This property has been featured by more wedding magazines than any other than I am personally aware of in the area, too. (Maybe neck & neck with the Ford Plantation). Either way, if you’re dreaming of a Savannah wedding, put this on your shortlist.
While not totally outdoors, the Bibb Mill is a Georgia wedding venue too gorgeous to not include on this list. And with its historic cotton river mill built in 1902, the unique aspects to this space is worth a tour if you’re wanting to get married near Columbus, Georgia. The gardens are just to die for. Oh my gosh so, so, so beautiful. Check them out.
When trying to think about a single word that comes to mind when thinking about weddings at the Chateau Elan Winery, luxury is the word that comes to mind. So, if you’re searching for an extravagant & elegant affair, you absolutely must visit Chateau Elan and book a tour. Heck, even if you don’t end up booking it, make a weekend trip up to Braselton, Georgia and stay there. You’ll be glad you did. Trust me.

As an ultra-historic site where the Henry Ford family resided for from time-to-time, this large estate leaves no detail overlooked. Everything from the Spanish moss trees to the southern architecture, and the riverfront vibes – this Savannah wedding venue really does have it all. Be sure to explore all the gorgeous opportunities that this place has to offer.
Fully inclusive of a brides cottage, grooms quarters, modern architecture, horse stables, and a 15-acre pecan farm for all of your gorgeous photos, the Highgrove Farm has it all. Located in South Georgia (in Valdosta, GA), it’s one of those hidden gems that definitely needs to be seen. Just everything about this place is charming. Consider it a beautiful blank slate to design your dream southern wedding.
This is another super gorgeous venue that is not completely outdoor, but the wide variety of both indoor & outdoor locations and how beautiful they all are – the Serenbe Inn absolutely had to make this Georgia wedding venue list. And because it’s so close to Atlanta, it makes it one of the premier Atlanta wedding venues (in my personal opinion). One thing that makes this wedding venue even more of a great choice is the fact that they have exceptionally preferred vendors and in-house design teams standing at the ready. And PS, if you’re reading this and thinking about the best places to proprose to your significant other, Serenbe offers proposal packages followed by trail riding experiences!

Luxurious. Elegant. Classic. Timeless. Decadent. All of these thoughts come into my mind whenever I think of the Musgrove Retreat wedding venue in Georgia. The property comes with waterfront views, maze gardens, Spanish moss trees, a 12-acre lake, a charming little boathouse, and pretty much at every angle – it’s a photographers paradise. And when you’re looking for those classic, romantic photos – it’s exactly what you have been dreaming about.
