Today I’m thrilled to share with you what I think are the top 6 Santa Barbara wedding venues for elopements and micro weddings. Planning your wedding or elopement in Santa Barbara, California is exciting! It can also so easily become a little overwhelming. Because unless you already know the venue and vendors you want, now is the time to start.— and there are so many options to choose from. This is especially true for a stunning town like Santa Barbara! There are so many gorgeous wedding venues in Santa Barbara California (and its surrounding regions) that it can be easy to feel unsure where to begin. After all, you want to plan a wedding adventure that you’ll never forget. Right? Well I get it! That’s why I’ve created a curated list that shares some of my personal favorite wedding venues in Santa Barbara.

In order to be completely fair to these stunning locations, I’ve decided to just share them with you alphabetically. I’ll break each one down briefly and provide a link to their website. Then you can check out each one for yourself, too.

Let’s get started!

Here are what I think are the most beautiful Santa Barbara wedding venues, listed alphabetically.

Bluffs and Eucalyptus Groves

I know that I said this list is alphabetical just to be fair to each venue, but I LOVE that we’re starting with the Santa Barbara Bluffs and Eucalyptus Groves. Nestled in the private and gated community of the Bluffs of Santa Barbara. This exquisite getaway is set in a residential space surrounded on 3 sides by the 330 acre Coronado Butterfly Preserve, the Pacific Ocean, and the Sandpiper Golf Course. Its so spacious! Offering walking paths with wildflowers and birds, ocean breezes, and millions of Monarch Butterflies in the eucalyptus groves every season. That’s absolutely perfect for an intimate wedding getaway or elopement!

Loquita Restaurant

An especially unique aspect to getting married at the exceptional restaurant Loquita is that, located on State Street, its so close to the heart of town! Furthermore, it’s just steps away from the Dolphin Fountain and wharf. As a Santa Barbara wedding venue, excellent food and wine can be expected. But this Spanish tapas restaurant has an extensive Spanish wine list, beautiful design, and expert-made paella and tapas! Santa Barbara is deeply influenced by Spain. And the similarly Mediterranean climate makes it a no-brainer to locally source produce, meats and seafood. It can host up to 115 guests. That being said, of course, it also has a patio for 30-75 (which is sooo much more our style)! If you’re searching for an amazing venue for your Santa Barbara wedding or elopement, make sure to consider Loquita Restaurant. Its your one-stop venue and reception dinner getaway in the heart of downtown.

The Santa Barbara Sailing Center Yacht

This unique nautical wedding venue is definitely best for an elopement ceremony followed by a dinner reception on board with your closest friends and family. Or just the two of you! They have different sized yachts and catering which makes it completely customizable to your desires! Just because its best for elopements doesn’t make it any less special than the other Santa Barbara wedding venues on our list.  They have several yacht options, so you can often have an intimate wedding as well. Of course, this is based on availability. If you want a fun and unique wedding getaway, taking a sail with the Santa Barbara Sailing Center is about as Mediterranean and unique as it gets. It’s intimate, transportive, and will be an unforgettable experience.

P.S. I’ve been dying to photograph a wedding by sea. If you’re having your wedding or elopement with the Santa Barbara Sailing Center, let me know. I’m happy to work with you, and offer a free wedding album with your elopement or intimate wedding booking!

Sunstone Villa Santa Barbara

Gorgeous vineyards and well kept gardens, and expansive views of the hillsides. Tall sand-at-sunset colored stone walls, and a huge master bedroom, including bathtub features. Sunstone Villa is a gorgeous and classy Spanish-style winery perfect for both elopements and intimate weddings! My opinion? Get ready in one of their many beautiful guest rooms, and have the ceremony in one of their vineyards. I personally love the curved staircase and anywhere outside the house too! haha. Then step over to the olive grove for cocktails and a stunning seated dinner at golden sunset hour. Finish the evening by toasting, just the two of you, under the stars in their glass sunroom. And maybe release floating paper lanterns from the patio outside your room for an “exit”. (PS. This venue has plenty of room for a destination wedding getaway with 20-75 guests!)

Villa and Vine

Villa and Vine in Santa Barbara is the perfect villa and courtyard for an intimate wedding or elopement! It has room for about 20-30 guests seated, and plenty of places to take photos with gorgeous light. It had to make it onto my short list. Villa and Vine really is your dream venue for a small ceremony and dinner. Especially if you love bright light, and simple but classic architecture. Perfect for a candlelight seated dinner surrounded by a Spanish inspired courtyard jardin. You’ll seriously love this Santa Barbara wedding venue. It even includes catering!

Villa Verano

Finally, when I think about intimate wedding getaways at Villa Verano Santa Barbara, luxury is the first word that comes to mind.  So, if you’re searching for a getaway where several friends and family can come stay & elegant private affair, Villa Verano absolutely will make the cut. It’s best suited for elopements and intimate weddings with 14 guests staying. It also has plenty of room and comfort for more guests should you be having a micro wedding. Heck, even if you don’t end up booking it for your venue! It’s the perfect suggestion for anyone traveling to your Santa Barbara wedding.
