Peacefully nestled in the historic, rolling countryside southwest of Atlanta, the Inn at Serenbe weddings venue in Palmetto, GA is a peaceful and perfect place to say “I do”. Its a massive Atlanta farmhouse turned French-style auberge, with forest, gardens, and meadow views (Seriously, its gorgeous). There is an Inn as well! You and your guests can make a relaxing weekend dining at their local farm-to-table restaurant, horseback riding, and soaking in nature. Finally, its pet friendly! If you’re wanting your sweet fur babies there for the weekend and your wedding, Serenby Farms is a MUST.
Let me paint the picture for you….
You drive on-site and everywhere you look there are beautiful, blue-blooming, butterfly trees. The main house is a restored 1905 farmhouse, with a restored 1930’s horse barn nearby. They are both converted to guest houses, perfect for everyone important to stay the weekend (they have about 28 guestrooms at the Inn at Serenbe, after that you’ll want additional guest houses on-site). You’re surrounded by 1,000 acres of rolling and flowering countryside, a lagoon, and untouched forests. There are several miles of trails, 3 streams, 2 waterfalls, and a lakefront… Imagine all the photo opportunities! Theres something for everyone.
Now, let’s talk about some celebration locations. Serenbe weddings have 3 indoor wedding options, plus a plethora of outdoor ceremony and reception spaces. For smaller events, a reception or dinner at their farmhouse restaurant is intimate and perfect for candlelight. Of course, you’ll need a great photographer who’s comfortable in low-light situations (?I’m your girl). There’s also the Oak Ballroom for gorgeous and naturally lit receptions. Of course, I still love an outdoor ceremony! Which is why I think The Inn at Serenbe Farm’s shining location is the Lake Pavillion, with room for up to 400 guests! It’s an open area building, overlooking the lake and pastures, and featuring a massive stone fireplace.
Your price for a Serenbe wedding depends on the day of the week (saturdays, of course, are the most expensive) and the number of guests. A Sunday wedding with less than 350 guests will only cost about $2,500. This includes a reception and ceremony space and coverage from 9am-12am. Their “catering” pricing starts at $150 per person and includes all food (hors ‘devours, cocktail buffet, seated dinner, cake), as well as seating, florals, table-scapes, and and staffing for the evening. It’s insanely well done too.
Something else really cool about Serenbe Farms, is that they don’t advertise. Its actively works to be its own sustainable community, with as much locally grown food and drink as possible. They also have lots of grounds for animals, and their animal village re-homes tons of farm animals every year. No community is perfect, but I appreciate their efforts to make this world and their community a positive place.
Overall, Serenbe Farms offers several stunning locations and excellent amenities. It’s conveniently located, while still giving you the tranquility you want for your wedding. And, the charm of the entire community and it’s 1,000 acres of sprawling nature is unparalleled. The value offered by this venue makes it a no-brainer!
If you’re considering having a wedding in the countryside, but want to stay a little closer to the city, a Serenbe wedding could be perfect for you. Have a look at these photos below, and as always – let me know if you have any questions.
