Hey adventurers and bad-ass babes! I’m writing this blog post cuddled up on the couch with my pup. And let me tell you, I’m feeling sooo many happy emotions as I look back on Susan and Pam’s Wyld Dock Bar wedding in Savannah, GA. Beyond the fact that the Wyld Dock Bar is such an intimate and beautiful venue, Susan and Pam really made it their own.
From personal notes on the tables and pictures of animals from their farm. A rainbow dessert table, and smoke bombs as they ran up the aisle! And as an LGBTQ Savannah wedding photographer, it was one of the most unique and fun weddings I’ve been able to be a part of.
This Wyld Dock Bar wedding in Savannah is authentic, quirky, and fun!
This LGBTQ wedding was styled and planned by Ivory and Beau, and Nicole seriously did SUCH a good job! Pam and Susan shared their ideas with her, and it was incredible how well she brought everything together.
Susan and Pam wanted their day to be easy-going, so they chose not to worry about getting ready photos or a huge wedding party. It was an intimate outdoor affair full of laughter and tears, and SO laid back. We started with a private first look on the dock, then they went to freshen up before the ceremony.
Something I love about the Wyld Dock Bar as a wedding venue is the water! Right on the water, you can hear the sound of seagulls, and hear the water lapping as the tides rise and fall. During a high tide, dolphins have been spotted nearby the dock— I’m so sad I didn’t get to see any this time around. Its also cooler on the water, which is great for a later spring or summer wedding!
The Wyld Dock Bar offers a beautiful backdrop for your intimate wedding, and offers full service catering and bar service as well!
When the Wyld Dock Bar isn’t working as a wedding venue, its a dockside restaurant during the week. Serving fresh seafood, local farm veggies, and awesome mixed drinks. Of course, their amazing food & drinks is part of the deal when you chose to have your intimate wedding there! Seriously, I think the catering and drinks are all part of the experience!
I’ll tell you now, it’s such an honor to be a part of each of my couple’s lives. I love being a Savannah wedding photographer. Moreso, I love love love being a part of such intimate and authentic wedding days for my couples (who become friends)! Spending the day celebrating my friends and making beautiful art from their real life— Who could ask for more?!
