When it comes to those pre-wedding portraits, it’s all about getting fun photos that showcase your love and who you really are! For Jordan and Alfonso, that was to showcase both their sense of adventure, and their romantic side. And their romantic Seville, Spain engagement session was, and is, incredibly gorgeous. They chose the Plaza de Espana in Seville, Spain as their backdrop, and even took a little loop around the moat at the end in the boats. It was beyond fun!

Before we get into their photos, I want to start by talking about something though. Its one of the most common things I hear – from pretty much every single couple I have ever had the pleasure of photographing over the last 10 years. Its this statement here… “I’m not comfortable in front of the camera.” (Alex actually told me this multiple times before their romantic couple’s session in Seville, Spain, not that you could ever tell now!) But honestly, I know exactly how you feel! I’m always super awkward feeling in front of the camera, but you know what… we’re going to have a great time taking your engagement or couple’s photos! We’re going to explore, laugh throughout the session, and you’re going to get some amazing photos of your love and genuine spirit from it all! Wether you choose a destination location, or something right near home.

Truth be told, your adventurous Seville Spain engagement photos or intimate couple’s photos aren’t about “being in front of the camera”— They’re simply about having fun with your partner!

It’s more about having moments together that make you laugh, and maybe even a special, intimate moment too. Seriously! That’s the best way I could  describe a photo shoot with me as your photographer. Fun and Intimate.

Of course, there are a million things going on in my head at the shoot— about how to get the best possible photographs for you! I’m always a step ahead. I ask myself about what pose to coach the two of you into next, where the best light is coming from at that exact moment, how to tweak articles of clothing to fit a little better, and how to get two different personalities laughing and feeling comfortable simultaneously! I want to make sure we’re moving seamlessly from one pose to the next without skipping a beat, and having a blast in the process.

There’s tons going on in my head during these sessions. And while you might only hear me chatting with you about your fur baby or your next travel destination, theres always those +10 years of experience running around inside of me at all times. Because when our session is all over with, it really just boils down to that one thing — what your experience was like. Did you have fun and laugh a lot? Did you leave feeling closer to each other? And did you feel comfortable? Were you put JUST outside your comfort zone to get those best images possible? Did you get clear direction that resulted in what you wanted? Did you feel like a rockstar!?
